JOB SUMMARY: The Teacher/Wrap Coach is primarily responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood experiences to children in our extended care. They will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to promoting a positive learning environment. Additionally, the Wrap Coach my serve as an RBT substitute, providing individual treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis. They will implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors and implement behavior intervention plans. Lastly, they will support curriculum development during extended care, cleaning efforts in the center, communication with parents on Procare, and catalogue and order materials for the classroom.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Develops and implements developmentally appropriate curriculum and school readiness programs that promote learning and growth in all areas of development.
· Creates a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment by establishing routines and providing positive guidance so children feel safe, supported, and valued.
· Communicates regularly with parents about their child's day, progress, and any concerns or milestones as well as teachers and staff to plan and coordinate special events and parent involvement activities, as needed.
· Observes and assesses children's progress and developmental milestones, using this information to individualize instruction and support.
· Focus on changing the child's behavior by observing and measuring the behavior in clinic environments.
· Gather behavioral data to track progress of behavioral objectives identified in the behavior plan and work with the BCBA to periodically modify the plan.
· Implement skill acquisition programs (communication, self-help, play skills, etc.) and behavior reduction programs utilizing discrete trial teaching, incidental teaching and verbal behavior instruction as written and instructed by the BCBA in an individual or group setting.
· Support other clinicians with general behavior management when scheduled
· Maintains a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations as well as program policies and procedures.
· Ensures constant supervision of children in the classroom and on the playground, maintaining awareness of the number of children under your care at all times.
· Serves as a positive role model for children, colleagues, and families, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to excellence in care.
· Properly report all critical incidents and safety concerns regarding persons receiving services.
· Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to ensure completion of requirements to maintain certification.
· Preserves the integrity and confidentiality of protected health information of Easterseals clients.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High Diploma
· BA or BS in psychology, social work, special education or related field preferred.
· Familiarity implementing Frog Street curriculum preferred.
CERTIFICATION:
· Possess and retain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
· Able to see and hear clearly, close up, receive oral communication via phone and in person, and to provide a safe environment.
- Able to lift and carry items or children weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
