Job Description
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Philadelphia Early Intervention Center is looking for an energetic and passionate PDE certified Teacher to function as the Early Intervention Lead Teacher or our special education preschool. This Lead role will provide classroom instruction, mentorship and management of caseloads, and IEP compliance.
Teachers in our Early Intervention Center will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents and community resources, adherence to core curriculum and case management, and implementation of special education documents.
Easterseals offers the right candidate an opportunity to become part of our multi-disciplinary supportive team working with children with disabilities and their families in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of IEP’s, excellent communications skills, and the ability to manage a classroom as well as guide classroom staff. The position is based at our Philadelphia school located in Wynnefield Heights. This is a fulltime benefits eligible position working a 44-week schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education required.
PDE Certification in Special Education, PK-4, or Mentally and/or Physically Handicapped required.
Minimum five years teaching experience preferred.
Prior experience working with children with autism and/or behavioral challenges required.
