Behavior Tech - Youth Home

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to become full-time Behavior Techs to our clients living with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges residing in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home located in Culpeper, VA.  *This position comes with a sign-on and retention bonus of $2000* 

We are currently hiring for the following schedules:  

Wednesday, Thursday 11p-7a and Friday, Saturday 7p-7a 

 Wednesday - Saturday, 1pm-11pm

What You’ll Do 

The Behavior Technician (BT) supports individuals at the YCTH with co-occurring disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. This role involves facilitating daily programs and groups, leading rehabilitative activities, implementing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, the BT collaborates with PCPs, community crisis services, and the families of participants referred to the home.

We offer set shift schedules and paid training for completing the required courses below to provide you with key skills to help serve our clients:  

• CPR / First Aid
• Crisis Intervention - Mindset Training 
• Medication Administration / Seizure Management / OSHA / Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP)

What We’re Looking For 

To join our team as a Behavior Technician (BT) you must have experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders. We also require the following: 

• Minimum education levels with BH experience:
  
  • BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience 
  • BT II: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field, or QMHP (trainee), or qualify for QMHP
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
