What You'll Do
This position is responsible for supervision of developmental disabilities and
mental health supports for children and adults within an assigned program. This position is responsible
for ensuring best practices, supports based on the personal outcomes of the individual and/or family,
compliance with all state, federal, and agency standards as required for assigned services. This
position has direct supervision of direct care para-professionals.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
1. Employs and works to retain qualified staff for services within their assigned area. Monitors personnel, training and health requirements and maintain current files.
2. Supervises direct care para-professionals, including annual performance reviews.
3. Ensures the appropriate development of person centered plans and the implementation of these plans.
4. Monitors all required documentation to ensure local, state, federal and Agency requirements are met.
5. Ensures quality services that support individuals to achieve personal outcomes. Protects the rights
and ensures health, safety, and welfare of the individuals we support.
6. Collaborates with LME and other entities to ensure supports are developed based on wishes and desires of individual and family.
7. Ensures that training, coaching and progressive discipline are in place, to maximize staff development.
8. Supports ICS Program Managers with management of program budgets by ensuring necessary authorizations are in place before supports begin or continue, ensuring that direct care paraprofessionals are working appropriately scheduled hours.
9. Provides and coordinates training and ensures all training requirements for Direct Care paraprofessionals are met.
10. Coordinates the scheduling of Direct Care para-professionals providing supports.
11. Works with individuals and family to develop schedule for appropriate services.
12. When on call, Supervisors will be available for emergencies related to individuals we support.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will supervise Direct Care para-professional employees and may supervise professionals.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by an entity approved by USDOE or
CHEA
• Must have qualifications to be credentialed as a Qualified Professional;
• Have a valid North Carolina driver’s license, good driving record and insurability is required.
• Must have reliable transportation that will allow movement throughout the program delivery area.

Essential physical requirements:
• Must possess the visual acuity to develop written correspondence and determine accuracy, neatness
and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of talking, hearing, sitting
for long periods of time and performing repetitive motions, such as using a computer.
• Must be able to speak audibly, write legibly and perform repetitive motions
