Join us this summer at Camp Easterseals Virginia (ESVA), as the Camp Kitchen Manager, where you’ll play an essential role in creating meal plans and preparing delicious, nutritious meals that meet the unique needs of our campers and staff!
What You’ll Do
As the Camp Kitchen Manager, you will plan, prepare, and serve meals that are both nutritious and tailored to meet the dietary needs of our campers, including accommodating food allergies and preparing pureed meals for those with swallowing difficulties. You will place food orders and create meal plans for up to 80 individuals. You will lead a team to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and all meals are served on time. You will maintain a clean, organized kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For
To join our team, you should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with meal preparation and food service and be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen. We also require the following:
- You must be at least 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- General knowledge of the preparation, cooking and serving of food in large quantities, especially in an environment that caters to special dietary needs
- The ability to provide supervision and support to kitchen staff
- Physically able to assist with kitchen tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and food preparation
