JOB TITLE: Seasonal Lawn Care Worker

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Seasonal Full-Time (40 hours a week) Monday – Friday

WORK LOCATION: Paducah, KY

POSITION SUMMARY

Easterseals West Kentucky, Inc. is searching for a seasonal lawn care worker. The seasonal lawn care worker will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of lawns through tasks like mowing, trimming, edging, and applying treatments, while also handling yard debris removal and potentially other landscaping duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The seasonal lawn care worker will perform all or some of the following:

· Operating various types of lawnmowers (push, riding, etc.) to maintain lawns at the desired heigh and ensure even cutting

· Using trimmers and edgers to clean up edges, sidewalks, and around obstacles, ensuring a neat and professional look.

· Picking up and disposing of grass of grass clippings, leaves, and other debris to keep yards clean and tidy.

· Identifying and removing weeds, potentially applying herbicides as needed.

· Potentially planting flowers, shrubs, or trees as well as maintaining existing plantings.

· Cleaning and maintaining lawn care equipment to ensure it is in good working order.

· Any other duty as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND KEY COMPETENICES:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Previous experience required

· Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects and goals

· Highly organized and detail oriented

· Must be a citizen of the United States and possess a valid driver’s license

· Able to pass a pre-employment background check
