What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian, Part-Time, Disability Required position at EASTERSEALS WESTERN AND CENTRAL PA?
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania has an opening for a Custodian for a contract we have in Boyers, PA. Eligible candidates must have a documented disability.
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week. The custodian will work in conjunction with the other custodians on site. Some additional hours may be required for special projects. The shift is 8am-12pm Monday through Friday. The hourly rate is $17.75 with an additional rate of $4.93 for health coverage for a total of $22.68.
Qualifications-Custodian:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior general cleaning experience preferred. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.
- Current valid Pennsylvania drivers license and acceptable driving record obtained through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation preferred but not required.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check and FBI Clearance required.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical and have a fitness for duty statement (paid for by Easterseals.)
Position Description-Custodian:
The custodian will be responsible for cleaning duties which may include sweeping, cleaning, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, washing, and dusting in office and restroom areas. Equipment that will be used includes ladders, mops/buckets, vacuum sweepers, floor buffers, cleaning carts, scrubbers, carpet shampooers and other types of cleaning equipment.
