What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales/Application Engineer position at Eastlake Search Consultants?
The Application Sales Engineer involves meeting with customers and/or team members, providing technical advice and assistance on product selection and sizing, creating proposals or assisting in proposals with suppliers and team members, providing training to customers and team members, and assisting with product-specific marketing.
Responsibilities:
Directly participate in sales efforts to close orders
Coordinate fluid power sales and systems with various Branches and Regional Managers
Identify target accounts and prospects
Work with the marketing team to produce marketing materials and events promoting fluid power.
Provide marketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital content
Utilize AutoCAD, Solidworks, and manufacturer-provided software
Provide advanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or in person
Stay current on new products and technologies and educate Customers and Team Members about these new developments
Determine final disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolve difficult cases
Produce and present technical training for Customers and Team Members about hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power, engineering principles, and creative problem solving
Strong customer service and communication skills
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Proficiencies:Microsoft Office, Teams
Good driving record
Education & Experience:
Prefer a B.S. in Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experience
Five (5) years of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power
