POSITION: Mathematics Instructor
REPORTS TO: Principal, Eastland Career Center
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filled
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants must hold a valid high school teaching certificate/license in Mathematics for grades 7-12 or be able to secure appropriate certification/licensure; Demonstrate ability to work with secondary students; Ability to teach College Credit Plus courses preferred; Successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Mathematics Instructor will develop lesson plans that make connections between content and real-word applications in Math to 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in career/technical programs offered at Eastland Career Center; Collaborate with instructional staff and work in a team environment; Instruction also includes promotion of student involvement in Career Technical Student Organizations.
SALARY: Placement on the certificated teacher salary schedule.
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time certified position; 186-day calendar; Benefit-eligible position
