Welding Instructor

POSITION: Welding Instructor REPORTS TO: Principal, Fairfield Career Center APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filled STARTING DATE: August 1, 2025 QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants must be able to secure certification/license as career/technical instructor; 5 years of full-time related work experience in the field; High school diploma and willingness to take college classes; Must have AWS certification in the following processes-SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW; Positive experience working with business partners and young adults is beneficial; Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work with business/industry and post-secondary institutions required; Successfully pass BCI/FBI background check. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare lesson plans and provide instruction in junior and senior labs/classrooms that prepare students for a career in the field; Provide opportunities for prospective students to explore this career path; Coordinate all aspects of the program with an advisory committee; Promote student involvement in Career Technical Student Organizations; Assist students in work-based learning experiences and future employment opportunities in cooperation with local facilities; Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.
