Description
The Administrator/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of the District’s activities to assure quality patient care and regulatory compliance. The CEO is subject to the direction and authority of the Board of Directors. The CEO Develops and implements strategic plans for maintaining and/or improving delivery of services to include long-term goals, growth, revenue, and return on investment. The CEO has direct responsibility for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the District, Hospital, Rural Health Clinics, Dialysis Center, and all other related facilities and operations; with the objective of ensuring the delivery of patient and healthcare service programs are consistent with the District’s values and strategic objectives as set by the Board of Directors. The CEO serves as the primary spokesperson for the District, representing its mission and values to employees, medical staff, physicians, patients, and the community at large.

The successful candidate should be an assertive strategic thinker who exhibits high moral integrity, strong communication skills, superior financial management, and innovative leadership skills. The primary responsibilities of the CEO will be to provide direction and administration of all aspects of hospital activities to assure quality patient care and regulatory compliance. must exhibit the ability to interact with physicians, hospital staff, and the community as well as have a strong understanding of strategic planning, team building, quality improvement, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Qualifications Specifics
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Advanced Degree(s) in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Service, Health Science or related program is preferred
- Minimum six years working within healthcare administration; CFO, CEO or COO preferred; rural experience preferred.
- Experience in negotiating vendor and payer contracts for rural health systems.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors
- Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) certification preferred
