Responsibilities
The Maintenance Support Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining fixed equipment within the plant. Responsibilities include :
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair :
Dismantle, repair, adjust, overhaul, install, assemble, fabricate, and service mechanical and process piping equipment.
Operate precision tools and machinery such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.
Work from blueprints, specifications, sketches, job plans, and oral instructions.
Use computers for accessing procedures, completing training, inputting / retrieving data, and reviewing BOMs in SAP.
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.
Be available for overtime, alternate schedules, on-call duties, and rotating shifts as required.
Training Requirements (after reporting to work) :
classroom (books, hands-on labs, tests) - this portion is done primarily on the apprentice's own time
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must have a valid state motor vehicle driver's license
Minimum WorkKeys scores of :
Applied Mathematics 4
Locating Information 4
Reading for Information 4
Applied Technology (no minimum, but scores are reviewed by hiring managers)
Preferred Skills and Experience :
