The Capital Planning Analyst is integral to optimizing data management within the Capital Project Execution and Excellence department. This role requires developing an understanding of Eastman’s capital processes, managing capital planning tools, handling complex data sets, and enhancing reporting to support capital financial planning.

Role:
The Capital Planning Analyst is integral to optimizing data management within the Capital Project Execution and Excellence department. This role requires developing an understanding of Eastman’s capital processes, managing capital planning tools, handling complex data sets, and enhancing reporting to support capital financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Work with management to assemble and analyze monthly capital planning figures to aid in strategic decision making, variance forecasting, and creating impactful presentations for executive leadership.
- Data Management: Work with and assist management to maintain data and classifications related to capital projects and planning cycles, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
- Tool Development: Manage the development of capital planning tools within SEIGA and Power BI, enhancing data management and reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Hyderabad capital analyst team, focusing on application development and the automation of capital planning data and tools.
- Power BI Updates: Update Power BI for capital coordination, manage 3 to 5-year planning, and troubleshoot data tables.
- Collaboration: Partner with finance contacts for analyses, financial updates, and strategic positioning.
- Resource Assessment: Work with management to oversee the capital program segmentation tool to evaluate resourcing needs.
- Invoice Management: Manage bi-weekly contractor invoices and participate in Power BI updates.
- Financial Reporting: Support quarterly financial reporting, including 10Q and 10K filings and quarterly commitments.
- System Development: Develop and maintain systems for asset replacement value to spend and American Chemistry Council data management and analyses.

Required:
- Work or project (classroom) experience in Business or Data analysis
- Work experience in Power BI, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting tools.
