Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our Eastman corporate engineering team. As the electrical engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of electrical engineering design and technical support, ensuring their successful execution. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles, combined with your leadership, management skills and extensive experience in the chemical industry, will be crucial in leading a team of engineers and designers to drive teamwork, innovations and successful project execution.

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers and provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering scope of work, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including all engineering disciplines, project managers, operations, and procurement, to ensure seamless project integration and successful project delivery.
• Manage the execution of electrical engineering scope of work inhouse and at the selected engineering service provider in all phases (Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Design).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and propose appropriate engineering solutions.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical support and guidance to operations and to the construction team addressing any electrical engineering-related issues or challenges that arise.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in electrical engineering and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the organization.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development among the engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Active participation in professionals engineering societies and related Industry standards committees such as NFPA, IEEE, NEC, PIP or others.
• Mentor and develop emerging talent.
• Support the company strategies and drive change as identified by the organization.
