Role Profile
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for day-to-day management and growth of their assigned customer base and territory. This individual will develop phone-based account and territory management plans and generate sales leads, initiate prospect calls, and establish ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and utilize territory management plan
- Identify and cold-call prospects
- Support account managers in generating new business by creating and delivering qualified opportunities
- Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls, internet leads, and convert them into sales
- Service existing accounts consisting of order follow-ups; complaint handling; resolving credit concerns; sample follow ups; and other account related issues
- Provide Voice of Customer feedback including product quality, performance and service issues and concerns
- Communicate the entire offering and value, including product/service features and benefits, prices, and credit terms
- Provide ongoing sales demand forecasts
- Negotiate business to close including pricing, sales terms and other conditions
Qualifications
- BS/BA in business related discipline
- Previous inside sales or customer service experience, preferred
- Experience with CRM and other sales systems and tools
