Description
The Lab Analyst will work under the direction of the Team Manager and is responsible for performing testing on routine and non-routine samples.
Responsibilities
Testing will be performed using chemical analysis techniques including:
- Gas chromatography
- Titrations and other wet chemical analyses
- Ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy
- Viscosity measurements, Softening Point and other polymer analyses
- Total halogen, sulfur and nitrogen testing
- Flashpoint testing
Analysts are also responsible for monitoring the quality of test results using statistical process control techniques and investigating failing results. Work is conducted in an environment regulated by ISO and cGMP standards.
Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in chemistry or Bachelor of Science degree in physical science are preferred, but not required
- Candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and strong time management skills
