Eastman is seeking a Market Development Managers for several of our BU's, focusing on various end-markets including Durables, Circular Packaging, Cosmetics Packaging, Personal Care, Chemical Intermediates, and Coatings. These roles involves developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive and sustain growth in assigned market segments. Responsibilities include creating and implementing market plans, monitoring their effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments. The roles also involve managing Stage Gate Projects, serving as a marketing subject matter expert, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating the business strategy into actionable market segment plans, implemented through a cross-functional team.
- Collaborating with the cross-functional market segment team to identify and prioritize new projects for product and application development. This includes focusing on customer needs and the value chain to identify unmet needs and develop compelling value propositions using both current and future product portfolios.
- Defining and driving go-to-market execution for the market segment plans, ensuring the relevant marketing mix is established and identifying customer targets to effectively position offerings.
- Managing value pricing for offers within the market segments.
- Depending on the role and scope of the assigned market segments, you may lead direct marketing reports.
Required Background:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or advanced education in strategic marketing preferred.
- 6 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or product marketing or product marketing
- Strong business and marketing acumen, with practical knowledge of various marketing excellence tools, required.
- Experience in developing quantified value propositions and implementing value pricing strategies, required.
- A track record of driving results without direct authority.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
