Responsibilities
Responsibility for the movement and staging of materials and equipment within the Shops Department.- Manage surplus material: stores credit, surplus, scrap.
- Maintain good housekeeping within Shops Department buildings and laydown yards.
- Documentation of items received, their current location, and shipping info in multiple applications.
- Gathering staged materials for jobs as directed by Team Manager, Crew Schedulers, or other Shops Department personnel.
- Order material as requested.
- Maintain inventory of stocked materials.
- Manage Storeroom returns for unused GMN items.
- Proficient use of Fiori application to document items received, their current location and relevant shipping information.
- Keep staging and storage areas clean and organized.
- Manage received jobs per Safe Practices Manual decontamination process.
- Receive incoming jobs, check in and stage them in the appropriate areas.
- Assist other Material Handlers as requested.
- Ship jobs to customers in a timely manner and properly document in SAP.
- Supply material for water jet and burn table and manage surplus.
- Be available to work over as needed.
- Be a Team Player with a Zero Incident Mindset.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- HS Diploma or GED is required.
Job Requirements:
Workkeys assessment preferred at time of hire but not required- Must have achieved Eastman’s required score levels on the WorkKeys assessments to be considered for MAP (Maintenance Apprentice Program).
