We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Park Aide to join our team. As a Park Aide, you will be responsible for supporting various tasks related to landscaping and maintenance. ```Responsibilities:```
- Groom and maintain sports facilities, playgrounds, and associated turf & landscape areas
- Maintain and clean all park facilities including restrooms and picnic shelters.
- Grounds and turf maintenance, utilizing hand mowers, raking, weeding, and tree maintenance.
- Pick up and dispose of litter and trash, empty garbage cans.
- Open Park district facilities.
- Flexible work schedule.
-Weed Eating all Parks
- Various other duties as assigned.
```Experience:```
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License.
- Must have a driving record acceptable to the Department.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, and understand and effectively carry out instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
- Shall obtain and maintain a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Read, write and understand the English language; learn and operate various job related equipment; work independently and in cooperation with others; be adaptable and flexible; maintain a productive workload; meet deadlines; project a positive image for self and Parks Department.
Physical Requirements
- Able to be an active participant in Parks Department maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lift 50lbs waist-high occasionally.
- Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, bend, and twist while performing normal work related tasks.
Working Conditions
- Employee risks physical hazard from mechanical & electric equipment.
- A portion of the work may be done indoors in a warm humid enviornment, however the majority of the work will be done outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Flexible work hours, weekends & or evenings when required
