Position Responsibilities:
- Develop general knowledge of equipment, setting up laser and learning to use the grade rod.
- Develop basic knowledge of general operations and processes and the process for exposing utilities.
- Hauling Materials – moving materials and tools to and from storage and the job site.
- Prepare tools so they are ready for the next step in the process.
- Operate jumping jack and trench roller.
- Starting, inspection and maintenance of equipment (fueling, greasing, checking fluids, clean air filters, etc.)
- Traveling to and from jobs; Driving, hauling and loading equipment or materials.
- Learn to read grades; rake gravel to grade.
- Cleaning Site – Removal of tools and supplies, packing of truck, and general housekeeping of site.
- Stocking Trucks – Keep trucks stocked and ready with chains, straps and materials
- Professional Experience – Making the process a professional endeavor and generating a positive experience for the customer, others involved in the project and the team.
- Safety – Follow safety procedures to ensure safety of self and crew at all times. Use PPE while on the jobsite (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, steel toe boots and gloves) Understand safety procedures and use them to guide trucks and equipment at needed.
- Report all hazards, incidents and near misses.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License

Working Conditions:
- This position involves work at construction sites where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors. Both cold and warm conditions will be experienced, including inclement weather.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Hours are often 10 or more hours a day, 50 or more hours a week, as work demands. Work hours can be seasonal.
