POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership standards to drive guest loyalty.
- Communicate with Parts Department and Service Writers regularly & effectively to manage production and guest communication.
- Maintain an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in training classes as appropriate.
- Provide exceptional guest experience to drive loyalty.
- Perform a thorough check of the customer’s car (battery, lights, and tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Writer.
- Check the air pressure of tires.
- Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
- Complete all other duties as assigned and relative to the job description.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, showroom, service areas, and lot inventory, including but not limited snow removal and other physical duties regarding lot maintenance.
- Perform interior vehicle detailing tasks such as carpet dyeing, panel dressing, interior repairs, and overall cleanliness.
- Carry out exterior vehicle care including washing, waxing, buffing, and polishing.
- Remove trash, scrap materials, and empty oil caddies to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Move vehicles on the lot to ensure an appealing and professional curb presence for guests and customers.
- Approach daily tasks and interactions with a consistently positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Support the sales team throughout the sales process as needed.
- Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
