Salary & Benefits : In accordance with the Joel Barlow High School Support Staff collective bargaining agreement. Salary range : $25.41 / hour to $28.21 / hour.

Schedule : 35 hours / week, 181 days per school year, Monday-Friday when school is in session and additional hours during the summer for the Extended School Year Program

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field OR Associate's Degree related experience
• Knowledge and experience in special education practices used in working with students with autism
• Training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis techniques is preferred
• Basic knowledge of assistive technology and augmented communication
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be highly motivated and self-directed
• Relates well with students, staff and parents of students
