We have a direct hire opportunity with a prestigious global law firm for an experienced Litigation Docketing Specialist. The schedule is onsite two days a week and remote three days a week.
This role serves clients by scheduling and maintaining electronic calendars for all litigation events, due dates, and attorney obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Reads and interprets various documents to extract upcoming events and requirements for docketing.
- Drafts and reviews legal documents for accuracy with court rules and procedures
- Creates new events and updates existing events in CompuLaw from notifications and requests for docketing. Manually calculates dates as needed.
- Maintains the accuracy of data pertaining to the matters managed within the CompuLaw software. Accuracy of data and calendaring / docketing is of critical importance to the Firm's litigation practice.
- Interacts with court personnel, attorneys, and staff in a professional manner to obtain and provide data, answer questions, and resolve problems.
- Prepares, processes, and generates routine and special reports for distribution as needed.
- Researches and keeps up-to-date on developments and changes in court procedures for various jurisdictions.
