We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Manager for a global leader in specialty chemicals, additives, and polymer modifiers used across multiple industries.
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for optimizing plant operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves leading process improvements, managing daily operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, transportation, and regulatory standards .
- Oversee daily operations, including SAP transactions, audits, maintenance coordination, capital projects, and production training .
- Manage resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize downtime .
- Optimize process workflows, equipment performance, and personnel efficiency to drive cost reduction and operational excellence.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Support employee development through training, coaching, and performance feedback .
- Maintain product consistency and address customer feedback promptly.
- Establish and monitor safety and environmental performance targets , ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations .
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and long-term plant development .
- Develop de-bottlenecking strategies to enhance product quality, increase capacity, and attract new business.
- Prepare and manage department budgets, performance metrics, and cost reduction initiatives .
- Represent the plant in business planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes .
- Ensure adherence to Valtris Quality and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policies (ISO 9001, RC14001) .
