Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary role of the Assembler is to fulfill customer orders by selecting, sorting, testing, and assembling components into plumbing faucets and fixtures. Key responsibilities include:
- Assembling plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g., spouts, valves, showerheads)
- Performing water pressure and flow testing on required assemblies
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Locating and picking parts based on Pick Tickets
- Reporting quality variances and part shortages to the team leader
- Operating hand tools safely and efficiently
- Accurately picking and assembling parts, ensuring correct quantity and type
- Transporting orders to staging areas using material handling equipment (e.g., push carts)
- Reading and counting accurately, performing basic math, and maintaining legible documentation
- Scanning tickets into the ERP system and retrieving order information as needed
- Performing corrective maintenance on water systems, including valves and blow-offs
- Tracking and managing rework orders in the ERP system
- Maintaining clear communication with the Finishing team to ensure timely return of rework components
- Following all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Performing additional tasks as directed by management
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role or related field
- Adaptability and flexibility when troubleshooting issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate discrepancies to the team leader
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. when necessary
- Ability to stand for extended periods
