What are the responsibilities and job description for the AutoCAD Drafter position at Eastridge?
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce management solutions, committed to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. We are looking for an AutoCAD Drafter for a precast concrete manufacturing company in Wallingford, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD to develop detailed drawings for various precast concrete products, such as bridges and ramps.
- Create full shop drawing sets, ensuring dimensional accuracy, material specifications, and equipment alignment.
- Develop detailed plans, elevations, sections, and associated details for precast concrete products.
- Annotate drawings, including dimensions, angles, weights, surface areas, clearances, and volumes.
- Generate drawing sets from conceptual designs, sketches, and profiles.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project requirements, schedules, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in AutoCAD design (2013 or newer). Candidates with less experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including paper space/model space environments, layering management, scaling, viewport creation, X-referencing, and plotting. 3D drafting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type & Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Ability to commute or relocate to Wallingford, CT before starting work (required).
- Preferred experience:
- 1 year in construction
- 2 years in AutoCAD
