About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and highly motivated AV/Event Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be critical in supporting and enhancing AV infrastructure across our New York headquarters and remote offices nationwide. You’ll ensure flawless AV operations in conference rooms, digital signage, and live event environments—delivering seamless, reliable, and innovative AV experiences that keep our teams connected and collaborative.
What You’ll Do
- Provide end-to-end AV support for conference rooms (Google Meet, Zoom, Logitech, Q-SYS), digital signage, and live events—both on-site and remotely.
- Operate live broadcasting systems, rotating between audio, video, and graphics roles during events.
- Manage and troubleshoot AV hardware/software including Chrome OS, Apple products, Logitech, and Q-SYS systems.
- Support hybrid collaboration by ensuring optimal AV/video conferencing functionality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Facilities, Events, and Workplace Operations teams to deliver corporate events.
- Design and implement scalable AV/IT support processes, conduct system audits, and drive performance optimization.
- Maintain and manage AV assets including Q-SYS cores, LED walls, projectors, PTZ cameras, Mac Minis, and more.
- Oversee AV software deployments, upgrades, and Helpdesk support.
- Maintain organized AV storage areas and inventory systems; recommend system upgrades as needed.
- Travel occasionally for event support and system rollouts (domestic/international).
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of professional experience in AV and/or IT support, including project and team leadership.
- Deep expertise in AV systems and troubleshooting (cameras, microphones, displays, AV-over-IP, etc.).
- Proficiency with enterprise AV platforms (Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, Crestron, Q-SYS).
- Strong networking knowledge including switches, routers, VLANs, and wireless configurations.
- Experience with device management platforms (JAMF), macOS, and Apple hardware.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (JIRA Service Desk, Confluence, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and handle 50 lbs of AV equipment.
- Demonstrated success supporting high-visibility corporate events.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, tech-forward corporate environments.
