Eastridge Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce management solutions, committed to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. We are looking for a Buyer II for a client in the procurement industry.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing tactical activities within the Procurement-to-Pay process to ensure operational excellence. Key responsibilities include supporting the purchasing team in managing subcontractors and executing direct material purchasing through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor subcontractor manufacturing production output and on-time delivery performance, preparing KPI reports
- Reconcile consignment inventory with third-party suppliers
- Coordinate physical inventory transfers and virtual inventory transitions with suppliers and warehouses
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve payment issues
- Utilize MRP, item history, and buyer judgment to plan procurement activities
- Perform all duties in compliance with established business policies
Physical Demands:
- Minimal physical exertion (80% desk-based activities, 20% meeting time)
- Routine walking, standing, and sitting
- Vision abilities necessary: close, distance, and the ability to adjust focus
- Personal Protective Equipment may be required
Education, Skills & Experience:
- Education: BA/BS degree in a related field with 1 years of experience, or High School diploma with 5 years of experience
- Desired certifications: APICS CPIM, CFPIM, or CIRM; or NAPM CPM
