We are seeking a PC Hardware Technician for a technology solutions company to assist with the integration, configuration, and troubleshooting of PC hardware and peripherals.
Position Overview
The PC Hardware Technician will be responsible for assembling, configuring, and troubleshooting PC components, operating systems, and peripherals. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow structured processes for diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and configure a variety of PC hardware, operating system software, and peripherals
- Assemble electronic components, circuit boards, disk drives, and storage devices
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware malfunctions using circuit analysis, waveform calculations, and fault isolation techniques
- Document defective parts replacements, build process updates, and shipping details
- Identify and contribute to process improvement opportunities related to integration and configuration
- Follow provided work priorities and perform tasks with minimal complexity under supervision
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Typically less than one year of experience in a similar role
- A Certification or other specialized certifications may be required depending on the department
Skills & Requirements
- Basic knowledge of PC assembly, troubleshooting, and configuration
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and structured processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Overtime and travel may be required based on business needs
