We are currently hiring a Cost Accountant/Analyst to join a global medical device company. This role, under minimal supervision, is responsible for overseeing product costs, analyzing operations income statement details, and conducting inventory assessments. The position also involves preparing comprehensive reports, performing financial analyses, and contributing to special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze reporting packages for the Manufacturing department.
- Evaluate product costing outcomes and variances against standard costs.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets for the Manufacturing department.
- Interpret financial operating results and recommend strategies for cost reduction and profit enhancement.
- Provide accurate and reliable data, continuously improving the quality of information and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with various teams as required, including:
- Reporting to the Finance VP and senior staff.
- Partnering with Operations VP, directors, and line supervisors.
- Interacting with management across different departments.
Ideal Candidate Profile

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and present reports to director- and VP-level stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to leadership and project management.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in cost accounting, FP&A, or a related field.
- Background in product costing and cost accounting activities.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and financial reporting practices.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Language:
- Fluency in English.
