We are looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire role with a Mechanical Engineering team at a manufacturing company specializing in industrial automation and process machinery.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure quality production
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop and track PM schedules for process machinery
- Perform unplanned maintenance and troubleshooting tasks as needed
- Conduct machine upgrades and testing
- Work with Engineering and Production to implement maintenance logs, best practices, and operator-led maintenance tasks
- Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine standard maintenance procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Who You Are:
- 2 years of proven experience as a maintenance tech
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic math and computer skills (email, Google suite, Microsoft)
- Advanced hands-on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude
- Familiarity with industrial automation and factory equipment
- Curious and eager to learn new processes and systems
- Takes direction well with excellent attention to detail
- Safety-conscious and deadline-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged computer use, sitting, and standing
- Exposure to machinery noise, forklifts, and injection presses
- Strong hand use and ability to handle high-impact tools
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
- Ability to walk for long periods
