Eastridge Workforce Solutions, a leader in workforce management, is dedicated to connecting talented professionals with rewarding career opportunities. We are currently seeking a Production Planner for a manufacturing company.

Job Summary :

The Production Planner ensures the efficient coordination, monitoring, and enhancement of production flow. This role involves managing all manufacturing and production planning activities, including customer demand (MRP), job routers, production reports, and scheduling. Utilizing lean enterprise principles, the Production Planner drives continuous improvement in products and processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Production Planning & Coordination

Develop production planning processes through collaboration with sales, engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Create daily production schedules to optimize capacity, material allocation, and inventory levels for on-time shipments.
Establish planning controls and adjust inventory levels to accommodate demand fluctuations.

Performance & Inventory Management

Monitor production metrics such as output, schedule adherence, inventory counts, and overdue releases.

Manage material requirement planning data and issue optimized job travelers (routers) to the production floor.

Plan work orders to align with customer demand and subcontracting costs, addressing over / under production.

Ensure the availability of required parts and materials to meet production goals.

Communication & Problem Solving

Develop expedited timelines for customer orders and communicate schedule changes effectively.

Identify and address bottlenecks or scheduling conflicts, notifying relevant stakeholders promptly.

Provide input for production schedules and cost estimates.

Lean Practices & Reporting

Implement Lean methodologies to improve processes and maintain 5S standards.

Compile and distribute reports such as weekly master lists, start lists, and push-out / pull-in updates.

Support inventory management and cycle count activities.

Qualifications :

Associate degree in a manufacturing or engineering-related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in scheduling, planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving machining or similar processes.

Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (Epicor ERP experience is a plus).

Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Demonstrated ability to apply Lean principles to reduce waste.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive under deadlines and work collaboratively in a team.

Familiarity with SIOP (Sales-Inventory-Operations-Planning) methodology is a plus.
