About the Role:
The Logistics & Inventory Specialist will manage logistical planning, inventory control, and operational processes to ensure efficient material handling and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires experience with serial number, lot number, and expiration date management, as well as shipping and logistics coordination, including international shipments. A background in healthcare logistics and quality-controlled processes is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer all inventory and logistical activities.
- Work with internal departments and leadership to prioritize and fulfill orders efficiently.
- Ensure proper receipt, inspection, cleaning, and storage of products to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including material receipts, shipments, and stock movements.
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple warehouses and oversee fulfillment, replenishment, and returns.
- Communicate with shipping services to schedule pickups, negotiate rates, and manage claims for lost or damaged goods.
- Stay up to date on international shipping policies, FDA regulatory requirements, and customer shipping needs.
- Manage field inventory for medical congresses, workshops, rentals, demos, and training events.
- Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with customer complaint management and respond to technical and quality-related inquiries.
- Support management with special projects and cross-departmental tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse and logistics experience, with inventory control responsibilities (preferably in the healthcare sector).
- Experience with quality control or technical processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with inventory management software (ERP) preferred.
