Job Title: Machine Setup Technician
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Status: Full-Time, 2nd Shift, 3PM - 1:00AM Monday-Thursday

We are seeking a skilled Machine Setup Technician to join the team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring precision and efficiency in machine setup, operating and adjusting automatic or semi-automatic CNC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, check, and operate CNC machining equipment, performing standard or repetitive sequences to meet close tolerance and finish specifications.
- Recognize tool and fixture applications, adhering to proven program formats.
- Follow detailed part drawings and specifications for applications, coding, and settings.
- Identify and report variations from specifications.
- Assist with program tape prove-out for new work or critical variations under supervision.
- Recommend improvements in tooling arrangements, fixtures, and operation sequences.
- Set up and provide instructions for lower-level machine operators on established programs.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to ensure quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a mill-turn machine.
- Experience with machine setup is required.
- Programming experience is a plus but not necessary.
- General knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and tooling, typically gained through up to 2 years of experience or equivalent.
- Proficient in using standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Ability to perform basic math calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
