We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a premier residential property management company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks to ensure the highest quality living experience for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance, including plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, hazardous material abatement, apartment turnover, and appliance repairs.
- Respond to service requests, unit turns, and preventative maintenance tasks throughout the community.
- Maintain community common areas and grounds, conducting inspections and resolving any hazards.
- Follow safe work practices, complete required safety training, and actively mitigate risks.
- Maintain inventory of parts and appliances while ensuring the orderliness of facilities.
- Conduct property preventative maintenance and required system upkeep.
- Perform porter duties as needed.
Community-Specific Variances:
- Smaller Communities: Responsible for both maintenance service requests and apartment turnover; may work alone.
- Larger Communities: May specialize in either maintenance service requests or apartment turnover as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (multilingual ability is a plus).
- Availability for on-call emergencies, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, kneeling, lifting (up to 77 lbs below waist, 45 lbs above waist), pushing/pulling (up to 118 lbs), and working in confined spaces.
- Must pass a pulmonary exam and respirator fit test.
- Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
