We are currently hiring a Manual Machinist for a rapidly growing medical device company. In this role, the Machinist will work under direct supervision, operating machine tools to produce precision parts and supporting the R&D engineering department as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
• Produce precision parts using a variety of materials.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for each job.
• Plan and execute cutting and finishing operations in the correct sequence.
• Monitor and adjust feed rates and speeds during machining processes.
• Use measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Replace cutting tools and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Perform minor machine repairs and identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workstation.
• Adapt quickly to changing tasks or priorities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in math with strong analytical abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent coordination, mechanical skills, and manual dexterity.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years of machining experience.
• Knowledge of standard safety procedures.

Preferred:

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training program.
• Experience with CNC machining.
