We are looking for a Materials Operator for a company that specializes in manufacturing and processing high-purity quartz, fused silica, ceramics, and composites.
Shift: Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
Position Overview
The Materials Operator will be responsible for inputting production data into SAP, tracking production movements, scrap material, and back flushes while providing administrative support for production records. This role also involves working in a cleanroom environment, operating equipment to clean, process, and pack products according to customer shipment requirements. It combines SAP expertise with hands-on cleanroom production work to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving of customer and supplier materials, ensuring quality and accurate SAP recording.
- Ensure outbound deliveries meet customer standards, completing precise SAP transaction entries.
- Package production parts using vacuum seal equipment and packaging materials per customer specifications.
- Perform goods receipt tasks, including unloading, inspecting, storing, and SAP data entry.
- Receive, inspect, pack, store, and ship products per SOPs for timely and defect-free order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace by following 5S protocols.
- Conduct annual physical inventory counts and weekly cycle counts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage stocking and transfer of chemicals and supplies between warehouse and production areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team operations.
Qualifications
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or production environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail for labeling, packaging, and inventory management.
- Basic computer skills, including inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with physical inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs., with stamina for standing, bending, and reaching.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and 5S safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
