We are seeking a Powder Prep Operator for a company specializing in ceramic semi-finished products. This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and distributing raw materials and powders while ensuring production schedules are met to maintain quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment/tools to modify raw materials for powder production.
- Operate machinery such as kilns, Rotovaps, and drum rollers, ensuring adherence to product specifications.
- Follow documented instructions and safety regulations in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Calibrate and use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Load and unload raw materials safely while performing tool changes as needed.
- Maintain and clean machinery daily to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members; assist in training new team members.
- Report production progress and any equipment issues to the department supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience; experience with chemicals or powders preferred.
- Experience working in a clean room or controlled environment is a plus.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with tools and tooling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
