We are hiring a Procurement Global Category Manager – Specialty Ingredients, a key role in shaping our global procurement strategies. This dynamic position is responsible for sourcing and managing the specialty ingredients portfolio, ensuring cost competitiveness, sustainable supply, and value creation. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop market intelligence, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a cost-effective, sustainable supply chain for the hydrocolloid portfolio, aligning with company demand.
- Create and implement category strategies that support business growth objectives.
- Lead pricing negotiations to ensure competitive and strategic value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify suppliers and source high-quality ingredients that meet regulatory and performance standards.
- Ensure supplier compliance with the company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Policies.
- Manage local consultants to drive procurement activities and achieve targets.
- Analyze market data to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry benchmarks.
- Track and manage project value to increase revenue, margin, and savings.
- Partner with Finance, Business, and Supply Chain teams to meet working capital targets.
- Foster collaboration between Procurement and other key stakeholders.
- Implement trade and audit compliance controls.
- Work closely with Quality and R&D teams for product verification and supplier matching.
- Understand supplier lead times and capabilities to support planning and forecasting.
- Engage with international suppliers and partners, expanding your global expertise.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing, with a strong track record in global operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Expertise in ingredient value and cost structures, with experience managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
