About the Role:
The Production Lead will assist the 1st Shift Production Supervisor in overseeing daily operations, supporting production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and training staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Supervisor in managing production, quality, and maintenance activities on the 1st shift.
- Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting production equipment and resolving challenges.
- Monitor and maintain production schedules, track materials, and processes using ERP systems and Excel.
- Support training initiatives to ensure team members follow safety and quality protocols.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and machine operators to ensure efficient equipment operation.
- Assist in quality control, including interpreting technical drawings to uphold production standards.
- Help foster a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
- Act as a liaison between production staff and leadership to communicate progress and challenges.
- Provide coverage for the 2nd shift when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in metals manufacturing.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for production equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand quality control procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel for data tracking.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to provide flexibility for covering the 2nd shift as needed.
