Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Production Planner II for our client in Carlsbad, CA. This is an opportunity to work with a world-leading in vitro diagnostics company with award-winning expertise in immunoassay and molecular testing, clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine.

Salary: $37 - $38 per hour
Job Type: Full - Time | Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

What You’ll Do:
The Production Planner II is responsible for executing production planning and inventory control activities within a designated line of business to meet organizational objectives. This role ensures timely manufacturing, prevents shortages, and optimizes production planning processes.
- Maintain planning parameters in master item data to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) orders.
- Coordinate production planning with manufacturing teams to meet on-time completion of production orders.
- Use MRP or manual planning methods to determine order quantities, ensuring appropriate inventory levels.
- Work with manufacturing to optimize production scheduling methods.
- Investigate production planning issues and shipping shortages to prevent missed shipments and backorders.
- Apply metrics to measure and improve production planning effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels, generate scrap reports, and adjust planning parameters as needed.
- Communicate production schedules and changes to other departments, considering holidays and calendar events.
- Perform master production scheduling functions in the absence of the Planning Manager.
- Lead or facilitate process improvement projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
- Required: 3-5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Certifications (Preferred): APICS CPIM, CFPIM, or CIRM NAPM CPM Skills & Knowledge: Experience with MRP systems is required.
- Proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
