We are partnering with a leading chemical compounding company in the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Aerospace industries to hire a Quality and Compliance Lead. This direct-hire position offers a salary of $90K – $95K, benefits, and growth potential with a Monday–Friday morning shift. Ideal candidates should have experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within manufacturing.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality and Compliance Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the quality management system (QMS), ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and customer requirements and that our operation is compliant with local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. He/she collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, sales and customer service, to maintain a culture of quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Management System: Implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the inspection and testing processes for raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and product standards.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Stays current with changing regulations and oversees EH&S on site. Ensuring that our manufacturing processes and products comply with all applicable requirements
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and product quality enhancement, leading continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze customer complaints, product defects, and non-conformances to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to establish and maintain a robust supplier quality management program, including supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Quality Training: Provide training to employees on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality awareness to ensure a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Customer Focus: Work closely with the customer service team to address quality-related customer inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
- Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation required for regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough understanding of quality management principles, quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor quality control personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and adherence to quality specifications.
- Visual acuity to properly read and interpret relevant information.
