What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Eastridge?

Eastridge has partnered with an industry leader in detection technology to hire a Shipping Coordinator for a 3 month assignment in Torrance for 1st shift 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Pull parts from the warehouse, package, transact the parts in ERP, and then coordinate the shipping process.
- Receiving materials into the spare parts warehouse and inventory management system.
- Checking for damaged or missing materials versus delivery paperwork.
- Sorting and placing materials onto racks or shelves.
- Moving materials around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift / bendi truck.
- Picking and packing orders for delivery or pickup.
- Loading and sometimes delivering orders.
- Performing warehouse inventory control via a warehouse scanner or computer.
- Prepares and maintains paperwork records of orders shipped.
- Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, covering goods inward, picking, packing, and shipping required. Forklift experience a plus.
- Experience working with a computerized stock management system and computers and software preferred. Proficiency with MS Office applications strongly desired.
- Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
