Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Sintering Operator for a company specializing in the manufacturing and processing of high-purity quartz, fused silica, ceramics, and composites in Chandler, AZ.
Summary:
The Sintering Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to create or modify ceramic parts for direct sale to customers or as the first step in the polishing process.
- Set up and calibrate industrial machinery, interpret blueprints for piece design, and ensure equipment follows product specifications.
- Adhere to strict company and industry safety regulations, following a controlled sequence of machine functions and programming.
- Communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, attending regular training sessions to stay updated on equipment usage.
- Act as a Cell Lead, coordinating daily activities, providing training on industry processes, and ensuring safety in equipment operations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and quickly detect and correct program errors.
- Safely load and unload castings and raw materials into molds, change tools as necessary, and calibrate tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks on sintering machinery.
- Report progress and any issues to the production supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2 years of experience operating furnaces and presses.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable about tools and tooling.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without strain and maintain a Quality-First attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
