We are seeking a Senior Facilities Technician for a technology leader specializing in the manufacturing and processing of high-purity quartz, fused silica, ceramics, and composites. Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 schedule (Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Compensation: Paid for 40 hours per week
- Training: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6-8 weeks)
- On-Call Requirement: Must be able to arrive at the facility within one hour when called in
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems, including HVAC, cleanroom environments, exhaust, deionized water, and chemical delivery systems.
- Oversee routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of semiconductor manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and EHS teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Supervise contractors and vendors performing installations, repairs, and system maintenance.
- Lead or assist in facility improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor critical systems, such as air handling units, chilled water systems, and ultra-pure water systems, ensuring 24/7 operational integrity.
- Conduct routine inspections of cleanroom environments and critical equipment, making immediate corrections when necessary.
- Provide rapid troubleshooting and response for facility-related issues to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, repairs, and maintenance activities using CMMS systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical Certification or Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management preferred.
- 7-10 years of facilities maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Experience working within CBRE or hospital facility management is a plus.
- In-depth experience with cleanroom environments and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with process systems such as deionized water, gas delivery, and exhaust systems.
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Basic PLC programming and automation knowledge preferred.
- EPA 608 certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
