Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, testing, and deployment of systems and services.
- Contribute to the technical architecture and strategy of the product.
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- Build highly scalable, reliable, and available services for a production environment.
- Mentor engineers, foster a strong technical culture, and support team growth.
- Propose innovative ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Drive operational excellence by improving business processes and service quality.
- Collaborate effectively with project leads, product managers, and other developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8 years of programming experience, ideally with a modern tech stack.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Spring, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes in a microservice-oriented architecture.
- 4 years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and ORMs.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, and collaborative coding practices.
- Commitment to writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong ownership of projects, from inception to completion.
- Desire to learn, grow, and contribute within a team of engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling mission-critical, highly available systems.
- Full-stack experience, including systems like Kafka, Temporal, Docker, or databases like DynamoDB, and front-end frameworks like React (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Prior experience in the marketplace industry.
