Position Overview :
As a BSA Analyst , you will be instrumental in safeguarding the financial health of our members by ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and other financial crime prevention standards. You’ll investigate suspicious activity, monitor high-risk accounts, and conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews, all while promoting a culture of compliance aligned with our core values.

Position Details :
- Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm
- Location : South Burlington, VT with option for a hybrid schedule
Key Responsibilities :
Investigate suspicious member transactions by utilizing a variety of internal and external resources, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for filing in compliance with BSA requirements.Monitor and analyze high-risk accounts for irregular transactions, conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews to ensure proper risk mitigation.Confirm Customer Identification Program (CIP) information for new members, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.Stay up to date with BSA / AML regulations, emerging trends, and industry best practices, recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed.Review and prepare Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for compliance, file them in a timely manner, and assist branch staff in resolving documentation issues.Contribute to the development and delivery of BSA / AML training programs for staff, fostering organization-wide awareness and a shared commitment to compliance.Assist with periodic BSA / AML compliance reviews by gathering records, preparing reports, and presenting data related to the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations.Regularly run OFAC and 314(a) checks, investigating and responding to any potential matches in accordance with regulatory requirements.Skills and Qualifications :
3-5 years of experience in BSA / AML compliance or related roles within a financial institution.In-depth knowledge of BSA / AML regulations, federal and state laws, and industry best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and various financial software applications.Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Experience in developing, updating, or refining compliance procedures is a plus.Experience training and educating others on compliance-related topics is a plus.ACAMS Associate Level Certification (or equivalent) preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.Why Work at EastRise Credit Union?
