Position Overview:

As a Teller at EastRise Credit Union, you will be the face of our institution, providing exceptional customer service and supporting our members in their financial journeys. Your primary responsibilities will include processing transactions, assisting members with account inquiries, and ensuring a positive and efficient banking experience. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our credit union by maintaining accurate records, promoting our products and services, and ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures.

Position Details:

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Location: St. Albans, VT

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist members with routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing.
• Provide account information, resolve issues, and ensure that all member interactions are positive and efficient.
• Accurately process and balance cash drawers, following established procedures for cash handling and security.
• Maintain a clean and organized teller station, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming branch atmosphere by providing excellent member service.
• Stay up to date on products, services, and banking regulations to ensure accurate information is provided to members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations and policies, including identification verification, and assist with maintaining branch security procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a customer service is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide outstanding service to members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services is a plus.
