Description
The Part-Time Housekeeping Lead at Eastward Ho! works closely with the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the Club’s facilities. This hands-on position involves performing regular housekeeping duties alongside the team while also being accountable for upholding standards, providing staff training, and monitoring supply usage and inventory. In addition to traditional housekeeping responsibilities, this role assists the Locker Room Attendant with golf shoe care and other locker room needs. Key areas of responsibility include the Clubhouse and adjacent areas, Pro Shop bathroom, Greens Department building (once weekly), golf course bathrooms, seasonal employee accommodation, and laundry operations in the Clubhouse.
Requirements
1. Perform regular housekeeping tasks across all assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness and attention to detail are maintained at all times.
2. Lead by example, upholding and reinforcing cleanliness standards across the team through direct work and guidance.
3. Provide hands-on training to new staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and service standards; ensure ongoing adherence to best practices.
4. Monitor product usage and maintain awareness of supply inventory; communicate restocking needs to the Assistant General Manager in a timely manner.
5. Assist with golf shoe maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs, and support locker room needs as requested by the Locker Room Attendant.
6. Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure all areas meet Club standards and promptly address any issues that arise.
7. Maintain and manage laundry operations in the Clubhouse, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness.
8. Respond professionally to Member requests and concerns related to housekeeping, collaborating with other departments to ensure resolution.
9. Ensure compliance with Club policies, safety guidelines, and cleanliness protocols.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have at least 3 years of housekeeping experience. Must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be available and willing to work early mornings. Must be fluent in English and work well not only independently but also within a team.
Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
