Residential Specialist Full-time or Pool

Northcutt Residential Treatment serves youth boys for behavioral health. The center's services are grounded in the philosophy of Trauma-Informed Care, an evidence-based practice which has demonstrated positive outcomes for victims of trauma. Using a multi-disciplinary team approach, we wrap services around the child and family to help them heal, and to transition back to home, school, and the community. Now hiring great people for the Residential Specialist staff Full-time 2nd shift and or pool all shifts. Part time staff normally work the same 8 hour shifts as full time staff.

The Residential Specialist will be responsible for adhering to the daily activity schedule while providing quality, effective, and efficient therapeutic interventions to boys between the ages of 6 and 12. The ideal candidate must be a caring and empathetic person who understands the high prevalence of traumatic experiences and have an understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues. This position will include interacting with the kids including providing direction, playing games and completing activities.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or higher in related field (Social Work, Criminal Justice and Psychology) OR High School Graduate with 1-year experience in a residential setting.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and safe driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• This position requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training. SCM training teaches de-escalation skills and physical restraint training used for client safety.
